About the role
We are looking for a Mobile Diesel Technician / Truck Mechanic to perform onsite maintenance and repairs at customer locations, operating a service truck daily. This role offers flexible scheduling with options for a 4-day (Mon-Thur) or 5-day (Mon-Fri) workweek.
Responsibilities
- Service and repair work on engines, drive trains, steering, electrical systems, suspension, and brakes
- Troubleshooting and inspections
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Operate a mobile service truck daily
- Work independently at customer locations
- Implement and enforce health and safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Read and write reports
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Heavy Duty Diesel Technician
- Good computer skills and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
- No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (e.g., DUI/DWI)
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs with assistance
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Diesel Mechanic experience required
- Certificate or degree from a Diesel Program preferred
- CDL is a plus
