Mobile Diesel Mechanic II Mon - Sat 2 pm - 10 pm

About the role

Cox Fleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to support the company's growth. This position requires a strong background in trailer equipment and systems, with responsibilities including preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and complex repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform certified DOT inspections and preventative maintenance ("PM")
• Manage parts inventory and conduct safety checks
• Respond to unscheduled service requests
• Document work performed using company devices and proprietary software
• Diagnose and perform advanced diagnostics and repairs
• Communicate effectively with clients and technicians
• Work independently and manage daily schedules
• Comply with company policies and safety protocols

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of related experience
• Absolutely required: ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months
• Preferred: ASE 608/609 certification within 18 months
• Valid CDL-A license preferred

• Knowledge of trailer parts and systems
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, stand, and walk for long periods

Pay

The hourly pay rate ranges from $29.42 to $44.13 per hour, with potential for additional compensation.

Schedule

Shifts are Monday through Saturday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
