We are searching for tenured and certified Mobile Diesel Technicians to support our customers by maintaining fleets and handling service calls at client locations. Our technicians provide expedited expertise directly to customer trucks and equipment on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all aspects of equipment according to company standards.
  • Handle basic maintenance of trucks, including filling the fuel tank, checking oil, cleaning, and ensuring required inspections are performed and documented.
  • Manage inventory control on the service truck and keep the vehicle properly stocked.
  • Report to the Service Manager and perform assigned duties on a daily basis.
  • Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and an open work schedule.
  • Maintain and inventory tools required for diesel engine truck maintenance.
  • Read job orders and observe/listen to vehicles in operation to diagnose malfunctions and plan work procedures.
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical information to determine and perform correct repair procedures.
  • Diagnose, remove, and replace components such as injectors, pistons, liners, camshafts, cylinder heads, bearings, clutches, differentials, brakes, batteries, transmissions, and other parts.
  • Perform all necessary diagnostic and documentation functions using the company computer system.
  • Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices on trucks, and make adjustments.
  • Lubricate moving parts and test-drive repaired vehicles to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Perform preventative maintenance as requested.
  • Document and submit paperwork or enter work details into the mobile service program accurately and timely.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and foster positive customer relations.
  • Advise customers and/or service writers of recommended repairs or services within the next 3 months.
  • Participate in training and apply learned skills in daily work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 5 years of experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
  • Current CDL preferred but not required.
  • Medical card as required by the FMVS.
  • Mechanical aptitude and technical ability.
  • Peterbilt, International, Ford, Hino, Isuzu, Cummins, and ASE certifications are preferred and rewarded.

Pay

Minimum pay rate: USD $30.00/Hr. Maximum pay rate: USD $55.00/Hr.
