Mobile Device Management (MDM) Support Analyst
Location: Irving, Texas | Duration: Contract | Pay Range: $35-40/hr on a W2 basis
About the role
This position is a member of the Information Technology Team within the Regional Carriers Tech Ops Technology Division. The role offers an opportunity to work across all three major Regional Carriers for American Airlines, supporting their success through the management of mobile devices used within the TechOps organization to support Aircraft Maintenance. The candidate will collaborate with AA IT teams and third-party vendors to support business units on mobility-related projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage access for new hires with iPads and various applications.
- Coordinate with the maintenance training team to develop, refine, and deliver mobility training programs.
- Track shipments for returns and replacements with Base Admin and Base Managers.
- Administer the document control management tool in coordination with Technical Publications.
- Manage the Maintenance group application database and assist with troubleshooting and storage management of device applications.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Format and disseminate information via iPad device alerts, bulletins, and other materials, ensuring consistency in documentation.
- Sustain the Mobility program and refresh iPads when applicable.
- Act as a liaison to the Regional Group and provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 mobile device support.
- Encourage teamwork and knowledge sharing among the team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues or coordinate resolutions.
- Support system change processes for iOS and app updates.
- Stay current with technology best practices and recommend enhancements or changes.
- Travel as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems, CIS/MIS, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training.
- 2 years of experience managing assets.
- 1 year of Help Desk and/or customer service experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the airline industry.
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions such as JAMF or SOTI.
- Experience supporting mobile devices such as Apple iPads, Windows rugged Toughbooks, and mobile printers.
- Experience with Apple device products such as Apple Configurator and Apple Business Manager (ABM).
- Knowledge of operating systems including Windows, Linux, and iPadOS, as well as wireless/cellular technologies and computer networking.
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office programs.
- Knowledge of Comply365/JeppFD-Pro apps is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team-based environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Apple certification is a plus.
