About The Role We are seeking a talented and dedicated Software Developer to join our dynamic team at Global Alliant Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, debugging, and implementing software applications tailored to meet client requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in troubleshooting production issues, researching and testing new solutions, and coordinating the integration of new products into existing systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on challenging projects that directly impact national security and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, end users, and other developers, to ensure seamless system integration and optimal performance. Qualifications Prior or active DHS clearance strongly preferredMust be able to successfully obtain a CBP Background Investigation (BI)Proficiency in software design, development, and debuggingExperience with systems integration, compatibility, and multi-platform environmentsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesExperience working within the DC Metro area, specifically VA/MD, is preferredBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plusKnowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of technical and collaborative tasks, including: Designing, developing, and enhancing software applications based on client specifications and organizational standards.Debugging and troubleshooting issues in existing software systems to ensure stability and performance.Researching and testing new tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve software quality and efficiency.Building and coordinating the conversion and integration of new products, ensuring compatibility with existing systems.Addressing problems related to systems integration across multiple platforms and environments.Collaborating with project teams and end users to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure deliverables meet expectations.Performing feasibility analyses for future projects and providing recommendations to management.Evaluating and recommending application software packages, integration tools, and testing methodologies.Leading project teams, providing technical oversight, and mentoring junior developers.Participating in the development of user manuals, technical reports, and documentation to facilitate user adoption and knowledge sharing.
