Mobile Building Engineer

About the role

The Building Engineer supports the designated leadership with the daily operations of all building systems, including hard surface maintenance and repair, basic carpentry and metal work, and the operation, maintenance, and repair of all facility system equipment associated with HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems.

This role involves responding to customer requests, submitting and closing work orders, and performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Follows safe practices and complies with company and regulatory standards.
• Operates or assists in operating all heating and ventilating equipment, engines, turbines, motors, combustion engines, pumps, air compressors, ice and refrigerating machines, air conditioning units, fans, and siphons.
• Works with internal and external customers on technical issues, work scope recommendations, and failure investigations.
• Provides engineering support for a wide range of systems, maintenance programs, engines, and operational engineering functions.
• Analyzes and seeks solutions to the design, operation, maintenance, performance, or repair of equipment and their components.
• Develops and implements maintenance programs or configurations to ensure safe and legal operations.
• Reviews Service Bulletins (SBs) from manufacturers or component manufacturers.
• Develops solutions and implementation plans, including project justification, cost/benefit analysis, and overall management of project implementation.
• Coordinates warranty recovery on applicable SBs.
• Organizes and manages priorities for assigned responsibilities to meet project deliverables and maintenance program changes.
• Coordinates work with other operational groups to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and efficiency.
• Must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Engineering, related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Engineering skill sets applicable to a range of systems, maintenance programs, and engines.
• Must meet all requirements to work in specific ATS environments (if applicable), including a ten-year work history if available.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Pay

$34 per hour. The pay listed is the salary range for this position. An offer will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
