About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced and proactive Senior iOS Automation Engineer with 8+ years of experience in mobile application testing and automation. The candidate will lead end-to-end QA activities, drive automation initiatives, own and manage production issues, and handle critical requests from business stakeholders. Experience in the Healthcare domain and exposure to Playwright will be considered a strong advantage.
Responsibilities
- Lead and own all QA activities for iOS mobile applications.
- Take complete ownership of PROD issues, including triaging, root cause analysis, validation, and coordination with development and business teams.
- Handle and prioritize urgent business requests, hotfix validations, and production support activities.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for iOS applications.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for mobile applications.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, Scrum Masters, and business stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.
- Participate in release planning, risk assessments, and go/no-go decisions.
- Improve automation coverage and optimize CI/CD integration for automated test execution.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and drive QA best practices across the team.
- Prepare and present test metrics, defect reports, and quality status updates to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of overall experience in Software Testing and QA Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience in iOS mobile application testing and automation.
- Experience in handling production issues and supporting business-critical applications.
- Ability to work independently and lead QA activities across multiple releases.
- Expertise in automation tools/frameworks such as:
- XCUITest
- Appium
- Selenium
- Strong scripting knowledge in Swift, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Good understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the Healthcare domain.
- Exposure to Playwright automation framework.
- Experience working with distributed/onshore-offshore teams.
- Experience with performance testing tools.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing standards for mobile applications.
- Exposure to test management tools like JIRA, ALM.
