Location: Nashville, TN (Remote) | Employment Type: Contract/FTE

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced and proactive Senior iOS Automation Engineer with 8+ years of experience in mobile application testing and automation. The candidate will lead end-to-end QA activities, drive automation initiatives, own and manage production issues, and handle critical requests from business stakeholders. Experience in the Healthcare domain and exposure to Playwright will be considered a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and own all QA activities for iOS mobile applications.
  • Take complete ownership of PROD issues, including triaging, root cause analysis, validation, and coordination with development and business teams.
  • Handle and prioritize urgent business requests, hotfix validations, and production support activities.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for iOS applications.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, Scrum Masters, and business stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Participate in release planning, risk assessments, and go/no-go decisions.
  • Improve automation coverage and optimize CI/CD integration for automated test execution.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and drive QA best practices across the team.
  • Prepare and present test metrics, defect reports, and quality status updates to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of overall experience in Software Testing and QA Automation.
  • Strong hands-on experience in iOS mobile application testing and automation.
  • Experience in handling production issues and supporting business-critical applications.
  • Ability to work independently and lead QA activities across multiple releases.
  • Expertise in automation tools/frameworks such as:
    • XCUITest
    • Appium
    • Selenium
  • Strong scripting knowledge in Swift, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
  • Good understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent debugging, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the Healthcare domain.
  • Exposure to Playwright automation framework.
  • Experience working with distributed/onshore-offshore teams.
  • Experience with performance testing tools.
  • Knowledge of accessibility testing standards for mobile applications.
  • Exposure to test management tools like JIRA, ALM.
