About the role
Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They're brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. This role is a learning role where new associates proactively build skills and proficiencies in preparation for the next level as a Mobile Expert. As a Mobile Associate, you will successfully complete new employee training.
Responsibilities
- Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers while providing a world-class experience and building loyalty by:
- Helping customers continue their shopping journey, whether online, through Customer Care, or in-store.
- Providing hands-on demonstrations of the latest technology in-store.
- Side-by-side selling to find personalized solutions, including devices, service plans, accessories, and IoT devices.
- Approaching service and sales needs with composure, integrity, and compassion.
- Use digital tools in interactions and onboarding to demonstrate:
- T-Mobile’s expanding coverage and lightning-fast LTE network.
- How T-Mobile plans and services let customers live unlimited and stay connected.
- Complete training on T-Mobile’s in-store experience, new skills, processes, and system knowledge.
- Maximize time on shift by learning about wireless and technology innovations between customer interactions.
- Partner with T-Mobile employees across channels, including business and customer service, to:
- Collectively own the customer experience and resolve issues seamlessly.
- Identify and handoff small business leads.
- Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (Required).
- 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail environment preferred (Required).
- Passionate customer advocate with a desire to connect authentically (Required).
- Competitive drive and ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment (Required).
- Willingness to work alongside peers and store leaders, learning and sharing ideas.
- Effective at balancing customer needs and performance goals (Required).
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish (Required).
- At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
Pay
Hourly base pay of $19.50, plus $5.00 per hour training pay during the first 90 days. After promotion to Mobile Expert, associates are eligible for an annualized incentive target of $18,000/year (actual incentives vary based on performance and full-time status). All employees earn at least $20/hour inclusive of base pay and incentives.
