About the role

Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They're brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. This role is a learning role where new associates work with their team to build skills and proficiencies in preparation for the next level as a Mobile Expert. As a Mobile Associate, you will be required to successfully complete new employee training.

Responsibilities

  • Build proficiency in serving and selling to customers while providing a world-class experience and building loyalty by:
    • Helping customers continue their shopping journey, whether online, through Customer Care, or in-store.
    • Providing hands-on demonstrations of the latest technology.
    • Side-by-side selling to find personalized solutions, including devices, service plans, accessories, and IoT devices.
    • Approaching service and sales needs with composure, integrity, and compassion.
  • Use digital tools in interactions and onboarding to demonstrate:
    • T-Mobile’s expanding coverage and lightning-fast LTE network.
    • How T-Mobile plans and services help customers live unlimited and stay connected.
  • Complete training on T-Mobile’s in-store experience, new skills, processes, and system knowledge.
  • Maximize time on shift by learning about wireless and technology innovations between customer interactions.
  • Partner with T-Mobile employees across channels, including business and customer service, to:
    • Collectively own the customer experience and resolve issues seamlessly.
    • Identify and handoff small business leads.
    • Support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required).
  • 6 months of customer service and/or sales experience; retail environment preferred (Required).
  • Passionate customer advocate with a desire to connect authentically and have fun (Required).
  • Competitive drive and ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment (Required).
  • Willingness to work alongside peers and store leaders, learning and sharing ideas (Required).
  • Effective at balancing customer needs and performance goals (Required).
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Pay

Hourly base pay of $18.00, plus $5.00 per hour training pay during the first 90 days. After promotion to Mobile Expert, eligible for an annualized incentive target of $18,000/year (actual incentives vary based on performance and full-time status). All employees earn at least $20/hour inclusive of base pay and incentives. Eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
