Mobile ADAS Technician

About the role

Travel to customer collision, glass, and repair facilities to deliver field calibration services for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and related vehicle safety systems, ensuring all work meets OEM specifications using BP equipment, targets, scan tools, and OEM service information.

Responsibilities

• Perform dynamic ADAS calibrations at customer facilities.
• Conduct pre- and post-scan diagnostics, resolve calibration faults, and verify safety system functionality before vehicle release.
• Complete wheel alignments on all makes and models and perform static ADAS calibrations in the Sterling Heights facility as needed.
• Prepare vehicles for calibration and support the site team during peak demand.
• Evaluate collision and repair estimates to identify required calibrations, build quotes, and advise customers on necessary services.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding ADAS needs, estimates, invoices, and completed work.
• Act as the on-site representative of Burke Porter ADAS and escalate unresolved issues to the ADAS Technical Support & Estimate Leader.
• Document all work accurately on repair orders to meet customer, insurer, and internal quality standards.
• Safely shuttle customer vehicles and adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Complete assigned training and mentoring to build ADAS competency, progress toward certification, and stay current on emerging automotive and ADAS technologies.

Requirements

• Ability to travel to customer facilities for field calibration services.
• Proficiency in using ADAS calibration equipment, scan tools, and OEM service information.
• Experience performing wheel alignments and static/dynamic ADAS calibrations.
• Strong diagnostic skills to identify and resolve calibration faults.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer interactions.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Willingness to complete training and mentoring for ongoing technical development.
