Mining Corps Information

Make a difference in our community and join our team as a reading or math tutor. We are looking for tutors to give their time and talent to help our kids become successful readers and learners.

About the Role

Tutors work one-on-one or in small groups with students (grades K-3 for reading, grades 4-8 for math) during school hours throughout the school year. No experience is necessary; comprehensive training is provided.

Responsibilities

• One-on-one or small group tutoring sessions with students
• Provide support and guidance to help students improve their reading or math skills
• Engage with students to build their confidence and interest in learning

Requirements

• No prior experience required
• Comprehensive training provided by Minnesota Reading Corps or Minnesota Math Corps
• Flexible schedule to accommodate school hours

Qualifications

• Passionate about education and helping children succeed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Strong reading or math skills
• Patience and empathy
• Effective communication and teaching abilities
