Responsibilities

• Shoot and edit news events and reports
• Write stories for the web
• Arrange interviews with sources
• Review and correct copy for content, grammar, and style
• Research and analyze background information for accuracy and completeness
• Gather information through research, interviews, and event attendance
• Pitch relevant local stories to news managers and producers
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism
• 2 years of MMJ experience
• Fluency in English
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to ad lib
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
