Responsibilities

  • Write software correctness feedback that scales with complexity and volume of code, ensuring software is provably safe and reliable.
  • Create interfaces for navigating complex implementations of simple specifications to help users find bugs, generate design documentation, and implement non-functional requirements using compiler-level reasoning methods.
  • Pick projects that are a few orders of magnitude bigger, faster, or harder than state-of-the-art solutions.
  • Have the courage to try out new ideas before everyone else does.
  • Be helpful to your colleagues, whether through pair-debugging, teaching, or simply picking up the slack on mundane tasks.
  • Delve deeply into understanding how and why things work.
  • Be skilled at solving last-mile problems.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering or related fields.
  • Strong background in machine learning and programming languages.
  • Experience with formal methods and program verification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for making software more secure and reliable.
