About the Role
Jobot Consulting is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer with expertise in Cerner or Epic systems for a 12+ month remote consulting engagement. The role is focused on applying machine learning, data analysis, and predictive modeling to complex healthcare challenges. The ideal candidate will combine strong machine learning expertise with hands-on knowledge of healthcare information systems, particularly Epic or Cerner. You will collaborate with data engineering and cross-functional teams to develop data-driven solutions that can improve patient care and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms for healthcare-related challenges.
- Leverage Epic or Cerner systems to extract, analyze, and interpret healthcare data.
- Develop data-driven insights that support patient care and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop appropriate technical solutions.
- Research emerging machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies.
- Recommend innovative approaches for improving existing healthcare technology systems.
- Create clear documentation for machine learning models, methodologies, and implementations.
- Provide training and technical support to other team members when needed.
- Work closely with data engineering teams to build and maintain robust data pipelines.
- Participate in code reviews to promote code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical and data-related challenges.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning, data science, or a related field.
- Strong background in machine learning and predictive modeling.
- Experience with data analysis and data-driven solution development.
- Deep understanding of Epic or Cerner healthcare systems.
- Experience applying machine learning to complex business or healthcare problems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and cross-functional teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to document technical solutions clearly and effectively.

Compensation and Contract Details
- Salary range: $85,000–$194,000 per year.
- Competitive W2 or C2C contract rates.
