About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled AI/ML Solutions Lead to spearhead the design, development, and deployment of advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions supporting Honda's automotive research and development initiatives. This role focuses on creating production-grade AI applications for vehicle development, simulation, manufacturing quality, and digital twin solutions. The successful candidate will own the entire AI lifecycle—from data ingestion and feature engineering to training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring. They will mentor engineering teams, collaborate with CAE, CAD, manufacturing, and data platform teams, and ensure the deployment of scalable, reliable, and innovative AI systems aligned with enterprise standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Minimum of 8+ years of experience in developing and deploying ML/AI systems, with at least 3+ years in production environments.Hands-on experience with graph neural networks (GCNNs, GNNs, GATs, MPNNs).Proficiency in Python; knowledge of C++ or Java is a strong plus, especially for automotive applications.Deep expertise in ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and scikit-learn.Strong foundation in statistics, optimization techniques, and numerical methods.Experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, including tools such as Amazon Bedrock.Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, Strands SDK, and MLOps tooling (Docker, MLflow, CI/CD).Knowledge of model governance, compliance, and responsible AI frameworks.Experience with CAE/physics-informed ML, surrogate modeling, or simulation is preferred.Prior automotive or design engineering experience is advantageous. Responsibilities Lead development and validation of impactful AI/ML solutions for automotive engineering, CAE, and manufacturing use cases.Design and implement AI surrogate models utilizing Graph Convolutional Neural Networks (GCNNs) to augment or replace physics-based CAE models.Architect and deploy scalable cloud-based AI systems on AWS/Azure, ensuring compliance with enterprise governance standards.Manage the complete AI lifecycle, including data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.Implement MLOps and GenAIOps best practices, including versioning, drift detection, CI/CD pipelines, and traceability.Develop and deploy agentic AI solutions for CAE processes in the cloud, including deploying AI agents to execute, augment, and monitor workflows.Support ETL activities related to ADC data structures used in CAE.Establish and maintain design standards, ensure code quality, and create documentation to facilitate reuse and auditability.Mentor and provide technical guidance to mid-level and junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
