MKE Project Impact Trainee- Hartford PT Manufacturing
About the role
Quad is seeking motivated, dependable individuals to join our Project Impact Trainee Program, a unique opportunity designed to help you launch a career in manufacturing while providing the support and resources you need to succeed. In partnership with Running Rebels, participants complete a paid five-day Career Readiness Workshop before beginning work at our Hartford, WI manufacturing facility. The workshop includes professional development, mentorship, financial literacy, conflict resolution, team building, and workplace readiness. The next cohort begins September 28, 2026.
Position Summary
As a Manufacturing Associate, you'll help produce magazines, catalogs, newspaper inserts, and other printed products while learning the printing process from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Removing printed product from production equipment
- Stacking, sorting, and packaging finished products
- Loading collator hoppers
- Palletizing finished materials
- Moving materials using pallet jacks and Big Joe lifts
- Supporting press and finishing crews
- Following quality and safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Working as part of a team to meet production goals
Schedule Requirements
This position requires working 12-hour rotating shifts.
- Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Choose One Schedule:
- Tuesday, Wednesday, and every other Sunday
- Thursday, Friday, and every other Sunday
- Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Choose One Schedule:
- Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday
- Wednesday, Thursday, and every other Saturday
Applicants must be able to commit to one of these schedules consistently.

Physical Requirements
- Standing for the full 12-hour shift
- Frequent lifting of 10–30 pounds
- Occasional lifting up to 60 pounds
- Repetitive bending, twisting, reaching, and stacking
- Moving pallets and materials using powered equipment after training
