The FBM Program is experiencing significant growth and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers while maintaining the technical requirements of strategic deterrence. As Aeroshell Product Owner, you will serve as Control Account Manager for the Mk7 Aeroshell Product with oversight for cost and schedule execution. You will be responsible for the execution of the delivery of the Aeroshell Product on cost, on schedule, and up to technical standards. You will oversee scope including design, analysis, test, and manufacturing. You will interface with Reentry Operations Center (ROC) to ensure on time delivery of hardware and coordinate timely work stoppage dispositions. You will interface with finance and planning teams as well as technical team to understand work scope, plan budget, create and monitor schedule tasks. You will administer Earned Value Management (EVM) best practices across varied engineering organizations as a Control Account Manager. You will ensure Control Accounts are managed with acceptable Cost, Schedule, and Risk to meet product and program goals by communicating and providing accurate and up to date status to program leadership. You will coordinate the planning, organizing, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. You will collaborate with all levels of personnel within the team, other functional departments, programs, and government personnel. You will assist program managers and leadership with monitoring and evaluating project progress and problem solving, including developing and assisting in managing detailed project plans, timelines, and technical content. You will support other duties as assigned by IPT Lead including execution of program management duties.
Desired Skills
- Experience throughout engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test and operational deployment)
- Experience evaluating programmatic and technical risks and effectively developing mitigation activities
- Experience leading / integrating solutions for geographically disperse teams
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues
- Experience developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and Long Range Schedules for cost and schedule projections
- Experience managing subcontracts, vendors, and manufacturing
- Experience with design, test, manufacturing, and systems engineering disciplines
- Strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills
