Mixing Engineer- AI Dubbing

About the role

The Mixing Engineer is responsible for leading the creative and technical execution of dubbed audio mixes & QC, ensuring all content meets client expectations, technical specifications, and client delivery standards. This role plays a key part in minimizing client rejections by proactively preventing technical errors, ensuring compliance with clients’ requirements. In addition to hands-on AI voice conversion, mixing & QC, the Mixing Engineer provides guidance to all Junior Engineers, supports cross-team alignment, and contributes to continuous improvement of technical workflows and standards alongside Team Leader.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert in key tools, systems, or processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical/audio issues during and after production.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, tools, and processes.
• Maintain high standards of work quality, quality control and consistency.
• Drive initiatives and postmortems to enhance productivity and reduce bottlenecks.
• Lead rejection investigations to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate session documentation, file management, and version control.
• Collaborate with required production stakeholders or other related teams to resolve any issues or workflow inefficiencies.
• Conduct technical/skill tests and trainings for new hires and/or freelancers.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to team members
• Constantly assess and identify appropriateness of established SLAs for each type of contents.
• Shared capacity and resource management with Team Leader.
• Take full ownership of assigned projects or workflows from start to finish.
• Provide administrative or technical support as needed and undertaking project tasks as required by Team Leader and/or Production Manager.
• Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies in audio production.
• Conversion: Operate and manage AI voice generation and voice conversion tools to produce high-quality localized audio outputs.
• Premix: Edit and align generated AI speech tracks to match picture, ensuring flawless lip-syncing, natural phrasing, and proper dramatic pacing.
• Mix: Blend generated AI voice into regular mixing process to produce a natural, master localized audio output.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Audio Engineering, Sound Production, or related fields/experiences
• 4-7 years of experience in audio post-production, or dubbing workflow

Skills

• Strong knowledge of audio technology and audio theory
• Experience in both 2.0 and 5.1 editing or mixing
• Advanced understanding of Pro Tools, including complex session structures
• Experience with audio plugins for audio editing (e.g., de-noise, de-reverb, vocal/dialogue removal tools, restoration processing)
• Experience with mixing plugins and processes (e.g., EQ, compression, time-based effects such as reverb and delay, modulation effects)
• Experience with QC tools (e.g. Spectrum Analyzer, Stereo Detector) or loudness analyzers
• Strong critical
