Mixer Operator (CDL Mixer Driver) – Ready Mix Concrete - Tifton, GA

About the role

SRM Concrete is hiring Mixer Operators (CDL Mixer Drivers, Ready Mix Truck Drivers, and Concrete Mixer Operators) to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will operate a concrete mixer truck, deliver quality concrete, and represent SRM Concrete with professionalism and a service-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate a concrete mixer truck (Class A or B CDL) to safely transport and deliver ready mix concrete to commercial and residential job sites.
• Load, mix, and inspect concrete to meet precise specifications and quality standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service at every job site, representing SRM Concrete with professionalism and a service-first attitude.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety protocols to protect yourself, your team, and the public.
• Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle records using company systems.
• Clock in/out system and coordinate with dispatch and plant teams for efficient scheduling and routing.
• Absorb general plant or yard duties as needed.

Requirements

• Active Class A or Class B CDL and current DOT Medical Card.
• Proven safe driving record and commitment to safety.
• Strong commitment to exceptional customer service and representing SRM’s values on every job.
• Physically able to lift/carry up to 100 lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and work in all weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive, “Go-Getter” attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous experience as a Mixer Operator, Ready Mix Driver, or in construction delivery is a plus—but we welcome motivated newcomers ready to learn!
• Willingness to complete SRM’s pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

SRM Concrete is looking for individuals who can handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, climbing stairs, and working in various weather conditions. They also need to have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

Skills

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of concrete mixing and delivery procedures, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers. Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not required.
