Mixer Operator

About the role

Dianne's Fine Desserts, a division of Dessert Holdings, seeks a Mixer to join their team in Le Center, MN. This position offers a stable Monday through Friday daytime schedule and the opportunity to contribute to the creation of high-quality desserts enjoyed by millions.

Responsibilities

• Accurately mix batters, fillings, and doughs according to company formulas and production schedules
• Record all required data on daily reports and work-center schedules
• Operate and maintain industrial mixing equipment including Hobart, AMF, Tonelli, and VMI mixers, braziers, chocolate melters, and margarine melters
• Scale ingredients precisely and adjust formulas for different batch sizes
• Communicate closely with your Lead or Supervisor to meet changing production demands
• Maintain a consistent pace with the production line while upholding the highest quality standards
• Report equipment issues immediately to minimize downtime
• Participate actively in yearly GFSI/FSSC 22000 food safety audits and help develop procedures and corrective actions

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
• 6 months to 1 year of related manufacturing or mixing experience (food production preferred)
• Strong math skills for interpreting formulas and scaling batches accurately
• Upper and lower body strength with good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination
• Natural ability to lead and give direction to a Mixer Assistant when needed
• Self-motivated, reliable, and committed to safety, quality, and GMP standards
• Flexibility to work other shifts/hours as production needs require
