About the Role

This position involves working in a Christian bookstore in Austria, as part of a social diaconal ministry in Europe. The role is carried out within the framework of a private-law volunteer service, which is independent of the state and offers flexibility regarding location, duration, and activities.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers in selecting Christian books and gifts, ensuring they find the perfect product that meets their interests and needs
• Attractively design the store floor to provide an inspiring shopping experience
• Assist with inventory management, receive shipments, and maintain an orderly stockroom to make products easier to find and keep inventory up to date
• Support administrative tasks such as order processing, data entry, and other office duties

Schedule

Approximately 11 months starting from summer 2027.

Qualifications

• Interest and motivation for administrative tasks
• Enjoyment of working with people and maintaining relationships
• Willingness to help out in other areas as needed
• Meet the general requirements for volunteers (see "Requirements" section)

Skills

• Ability to work in a German- and English-speaking team
