Missouri Foundation Seeds seeks a Seasonal Laborer to perform routine manual agricultural work in support of university research activities and agricultural programs.
Responsibilities
- Operate farming machinery and equipment such as tractors, harvesters, and related implements
- Perform routine inspections and minor maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Identify and report mechanical issues requiring repair or advanced maintenance
- Follow all safety procedures and operational guidelines
- Assist with general farm tasks as needed to support operations
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of farm machinery and agricultural operations, with the ability to perform minor equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions
- Ability to read, write, and perform simple arithmetic computations
- A commercial driver's license may be required for some positions
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects and equipment weighing up to 25–50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in farming or equipment operation
- Commercial driver's license (CDL)
Pay
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $15.00–$20.00 hourly.
Schedule
Average 29 hrs per week. Monday–Friday 8 am – 5 pm. Days and hours will vary depending on weather and workload.
