About the role
Serco supports the US Navy as a prime for their engineering and sustainment contract supporting Commander, Submarine Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet (COMSUBPAC).
Responsibilities
- Provide operational insight and assist in the development and prioritization of requirements, strategy development, capability assessments, analysis of alternatives, documentation development and analysis.
- Make recommendations and implement opportunities to mitigate risk.
- Be the primary customer contact for support activities, regularly meet with and update the customer on project status.
- Lead program review sessions to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Provide acquisition management planning and execution support.
- Develop and monitor program plans including time and cost estimates, ensuring delivery of project outputs on schedule and within funding.
- Lead Technical discussions of project reviews, including preparing and delivering formal briefings.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- An active Secret clearance
- A US Citizenship
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical or similar field OR a high school diploma/GED and 4 years of additional experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree in a technical field
- 15 years of work experience
- 12 years of experience in submarine maintenance, at an Intermediate Maintenance Activity, submarine repair facility or similar experience
- 10 years of experience managing complex projects
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
Additional Desired Experience and Skills
- Prior active duty submarine service
- Experience working on a Submarine Type Commander staff
- Experience with Guam and Western Pacific theater maintenance
