Role Summary

This strategic hiring is part of our Client's mission to expand their operational capabilities in RF threat detection and spectrum analysis. The Mission Operations Engineer will play a vital role in deploying and supporting live mission systems, directly contributing to national security and public safety initiatives through advanced RF sensing technologies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-impact team working on innovative solutions in complex environments with a focus on real-time response and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment and management of real-time RF sensors in diverse operational settings.
  • Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and validation to ensure high performance in field conditions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to refine sensor hardware, software, and AI models based on field feedback.
  • Design and optimise operational workflows, translating user requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation and deliver training to internal teams and clients to maximise system utilisation.
  • Oversee data collection processes during deployments, ensuring data integrity and system health.
  • Support mission planning activities, including scenario development, system setup, and post-mission analysis.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in mission-critical operations, field engineering, or related technical roles within RF, sensing, or autonomous systems.
  • Strong background in signal processing, communications engineering, or similar disciplines.
  • Hands-on experience with deploying operational sensors, working with data collection workflows and field instrumentation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively between technical teams and field personnel.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and operate in challenging, remote environments.
  • Eligibility for US security clearance.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Military or government experience working with RF systems.
  • Familiarity with autonomous system integration tools.
  • Experience working with AI-enabled edge sensors or autonomous platforms.
