Mission Enablement Modernization Lead
What You'll Do
The Mission Enablement Modernization Lead directly supports all areas within Development programs and facilities; proactively managing activities to modernize equipment for future programmatic needs and improve equipment reliability and availability. Modernization of production and facilities equipment across Development areas
Prominent interface between Development and the Modernization Program
Interact with Program Management and EP&C to determine equipment needs based on programs, capacity modeling, and scheduling demands
Research technology improvements and requirements to improve current production and meet future programmatic needs
Complete Functional & Operational Requirements for new equipment
Work with various disciplines to determine layouts of new equipment to maximize efficiency

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Physical Science [Chemistry, Physics, or related] from an Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program in the United States or designated equivalents from Canada or Mexico, the Washington Accord, or the list of substantially equivalent as documented by ABET AND 7 years of relevant experience.
- OR MS in Engineering/Physical science and 5 years of relevant experience.
- OR PhD in Engineering/Physical science and 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Experience with the design, project management, installation, field engineering, and maintenance of fabrication production and infrastructure equipment (both electrical and mechanical).
- Experience conducting failure investigations and/or performing failure analysis leading to root cause and corrective action.

- This position may require entry into the Material Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (10 C.F.R. Part 712), which requires successful competition of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation and may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
