Mission Data Systems Design Engineer

About the role

Torch Technologies is seeking a Mission Data Systems Engineer to join a team supporting the F35 PSC, 350th Spectrum Warfare Group, and 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (350 SWW) at Eglin AFB, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Conduct appropriate EW research and MD development
• Support EW system programming/reprogramming
• Work with EW system engineers to coordinate programming/reprogramming requirements
• Prepare validation and verification test plans
• Organize and participate in MD configuration control boards
• Assist with the collection, recording, and post-test analysis of data generated during MD testing
• May be required to travel both domestically and internationally

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• At least a Bachelor's degree in a technical/engineering discipline, or 6 years' relevant work experience in lieu of degree
• 3+ years' applicable experience
• Potential ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations
• Working knowledge of computer systems and an understanding of Windows-based personal computers and Microsoft Office software
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written
• DoD Secret Clearance (required at hire)

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in an Engineering discipline
• Previous experience in RF integration, EM spectrum management, antenna design, and digital signal processing
• Knowledge of EW weapons systems development, test and evaluation, and systems engineering
