Mission Critical - Safety Superintendent

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary safety liaison between project management, field personnel, and corporate safety leadership.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive site-specific safety plans (SSSPs) for electrical construction projects.
  • Monitor leading and lagging safety indicators, ensuring prompt corrective actions and continuous improvement.
  • Cook up and coordinate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training initiatives across multiple project sites.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses, ensuring lessons learned are shared and implemented.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, and other relevant electrical safety standards.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies and clients regarding inspections, audits, and reporting.
  • Coach and develop safety staff to enhance technical knowledge, leadership skills, and field engagement.
  • Conduct and coordinate specialized safety training on electrical hazards, lockout/tagout, confined space, and fall protection.
  • Promote a culture of safety ownership and continuous learning throughout the workforce.
  • Identify potential hazards early in project planning and execution phases, working collaboratively to implement controls.
  • Evaluate subcontractor safety programs and ensure alignment with company safety standards.
  • Track and analyze safety data to identify trends and implement proactive solutions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of safety experience in electrical or industrial construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or senior leadership capacity.
  • OSHA 500 or 510; CHST, CSP, or equivalent certification preferred; First Aid/CPR, NFPA 70E training.
