Mission Command Exercise Leader
Job Description
IDS is seeking a Mission Command Exercise Leader to support the planning, development, and execution of mission command exercises. The selected candidate will provide senior-level operational expertise, support exercise development efforts, and assist in managing resources required for exercise execution in support of Special Operations Forces training objectives.
Key Duties
- Support exercise planning, development, and execution activities
- Apply knowledge of exercise design considerations
- Manage elements and resources associated with exercise development and execution
- Cookordination personnel, time, infrastructure, hardware, networks, databases, software, and security requirements supporting exercises
- Support mission command training and exercise objectives
Requirements
- Secret clearance
- Master’s degree
- Graduate of the U.S. Army Special Forces Officer Qualifying Course (18A), or Warrant Officer 180A
- Graduate of a U.S. military officer’s Senior Service College, or Graduate of Warrant Officer Senior Service Education Course
- Assignment to Special Operations Forces (Special Forces, Military Information Support Operations, Civil Affairs, Ranger Regiment, Special Operations Aviation, Special Mission Units)
- Commander at the battalion level or Chief Warrant Officer at Group level or higher
- Served as primary staff at the SOJTF level or higher
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the basic considerations of exercise design
- Experience managing the elements or resources of exercise development and execution, including people, time, infrastructure, hardware, networks, databases, software, and security
