About the role

The Mission Assurance Director 1 position is responsible for overseeing all Quality related activities across a majority of the product life cycle. Key responsibilities include managing and leading key program meetings, maintaining program quality plans, interfacing with customers, and ensuring timely support and flow-down of sector/division goals and key operating factors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead key program meetings including PCAB, management reviews, and customer reviews
  • Develop and maintain relationships with end customers and their quality representatives
  • Ensure timely support and flow-down of sector/division goals and key operating factors
  • Provide oversight for all Mission Assurance budgets within the program
  • Staff and manage Mission Assurance personnel assigned to the Strike program
  • Define and monitor mission assurance program specifications and processes
  • Afford oversight for program performance and risks and validate performance metrics reporting

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related experience
  • Master's degree and 8 years of related experience
  • Current DoD Secret or higher clearance
  • Active SAP clearance within 3 months

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • 10+ years of professional or military experience in aircraft, aerospace, manufacturing, quality, program management, engineering, or business management
  • 3+ years of experience as a leader, manager, or team lead
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strategic thinking and ability to think outside the box
  • Strategic planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

Skills

  • Quality management system compliance knowledge (DCMA and AS9100 preferred)
  • Root cause and corrective action processes
  • Complex quality policies, procedures, and governmental regulations
  • Effective communication skills
  • People leadership skills

Pay

The basic salary range for this role is $197,600.00 - $296,400.00 annually. Overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus may also be available. Long-term incentives may be offered for select positions.

Schedule

The schedule for this role is typically full-time with occasional travel up to 25%. The application period for this position is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date, but may be shortened or extended based on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.
