About the role
Join us as a Missile Defense Expert, Senior, where your extensive experience in missile defense systems and fire control systems will guide teams in solving complex defense challenges. Your responsibilities include analyzing and enhancing design and system capabilities, identifying and evaluating complex systems, and developing the next generation of U.S. missile defense systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and analyze missile defense weapons systems and fire control systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system capabilities and solve complex design, integration, and analytical problems
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into system enhancements
- Contribute to strategic and operational-level missile defense planning, employment, and concepts of operations
- Evaluate and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins
- Develop software within Agile frameworks and DevSecOps infrastructure
- Design and implement containerized services with Kubernetes
- Utilize System Modeling Language (SysML), DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with missile defense weapons systems or fire control systems
- Experience with weapon system requirements, design, and performance analysis
- Ability to communicate, work independently, and collaborate on a team
- Initiative to complete complex tasks and achieve program goals in a fast-paced environment
- Clearance: Secret clearance required, TS/SCI clearance preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Master’s degree preferred
Skills
- Strategic and operational-level missile defense planning and employment
- CI/CD pipeline implementation (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Embedded programming and scripting languages (Rust, C, C++, Python, Java, JavaScript)
- Agile framework and DevSecOps infrastructure experience
- Architecture and containerized services design with Kubernetes
- Systems Modeling Language (SysML), DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) knowledge
