Misc. Technical (Part-Time)

Job Location: Harry S. Truman State Office Building, 301 W. High Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101 You'll be part of a collaborative team at the Division of Purchasing, helping maintain procurement records and support daily operations that enable state agencies to serve Missouri residents effectively. Although this part-time role does not include state benefits, it offers opportunities for advancement into full-time positions with benefits. The position is 20 hours per week (4 hours per day, Monday-Friday). Available schedule options include: 8:00a.m.-12:00p.m., 9:00a.m.-1:00p.m., or 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to a mission-driven team, we encourage you to apply. Upload bid and contract files into the Division's public record information system.Answer phone calls from the public and state agencies.Open and log incoming mail, checks, and invoices.Advertise procurements in daily newspapers.Conduct bid-closing tasks, including tabulating bids in MOVERS.Work under general supervision and carry out responsibilities independently within established guidelines.Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of six months of office support experience and a high school diploma or equivalent (substitutions may be allowed).Strong time management skills.High attention to detail.Effective telephone and customer service skills. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Ability to learn new tasks quickly.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong organizational skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines.Preferred, but not required: Familiarity with the state's financial management system (SAMII), OnBase, and the state's eProcurement systems (MissouriBUYS and MOVERS).
