Misc - Elem Band/Orchestra - Rose Creek Elementary

About the role

Teach orchestra instruments from beginner level up to intermediate. This includes teaching students how to play the instrument and how to read notes.

Responsibilities

• Teach orchestra instruments including violin, viola, string bass, and percussion
• Lead before-school orchestra sessions (45 minutes each)
• Plan and carry out at least two concerts per year (Holiday and Spring) in cooperation with other teachers (band, orchestra, choir, etc.) who may be involved
• Coordinate accompanying assemblies for the host school
• Plan additional assemblies at other schools when those schools have significant orchestra participation or desire it for recruiting purposes
• Participate in other concerts throughout the year as needed (e.g., middle school recruiting events or combined elementary school orchestra concerts)
