About the role
Pigeon Fork Baptist Church, a small country church founded in 1825, is seeking a Minister of Music to work alongside the Pastor in leading and directing worship services to the glory of God and the edification of the congregation.
Responsibilities
- Lead congregational singing on Sunday morning and other special events
- Lead weekly choir practice
- Coordinate music for Easter, Christmas, Revivals, Homecoming, and other special events
- Schedule soloists or ensembles to sing on a regular basis
- Work with the Pastor in preparing worship services
- Serve on the Church Council
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Proficiency in music and vocal abilities
- Close relationship with God and commitment to invest in the church and community
Skills
- Ability to play piano or guitar (strongly desired)
Schedule
- Lead Sunday morning worship
