Minister of Music

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and evaluate the comprehensive music ministry
• Clock in with the church music ministry according to the church’s calendar and emphases
• Collaborate with the worship team to determine music ministry goals, organization leadership, facilities, finances, and administrative processes
• Assist the pastor in planning congregational singing or arrange for someone else to handle this task
• Enlist and train leaders for the church music ministry in conjunction with the church nominating committee
• Supervise the work of all music leaders in the music ministry
• Prepare an annual budget for music ministry to be recommended to the Finance committee
• Engage in other music-related activities in the church

Qualifications

Experience in leading and managing a music ministry is required. Knowledge of church music traditions and practices is essential. Leadership skills are crucial, along with the ability to manage budgets and oversee a team.
