Minister of Music and Worship

Qualifications

• A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to music ministry;
• Agreement with the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message and the mission of First Baptist Church of Jesup;
• Demonstrated ability to lead congregational worship and direct choirs;
• Working knowledge of ProPresenter and/or other music worship software;
• Proficiency in vocal and/or instrumental music with the ability to read music;
• Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Desired Education and Experience

• A bachelor's degree or higher in music from an accredited university;
• Seminary work or degree beneficial;
• Previous experience serving in a church music and corporate worship leadership role.

Requirements

• Works closely with the Lead Pastor and church staff to plan, coordinate, and lead meaningful gathered worship experiences;
• Ledges and develops a Christ-centered music and worship ministry that glorifies God and supports the mission of the church;
• Plans, coordinates, and leads the church's music and worship, as well as the audio-visual ministries;
• Facilitates gathered worship events which include adults, and/or students, and/or children.
