Responsibilities
- Mine planning for open pit (required) and underground (preferred)
- Creation of engineering and geologic drawings for reports
- Cost estimation and economic (DCF) modeling (preferred)
- Resources and reserve reporting
- Flexibility in supporting both engineering and geologic aspects of projects
- Teamwork with geologists, metallurgists, and other disciplines
- Provide client support and presentations
- Prepare operations and project estimates, schedules, and reports
- Engineering trade-off studies preferred, including autonomous vs conventional haulage, equipment selection, open pit vs underground operations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mining or Geological Engineering
- Minimum five years of mining experience
- Experience in both short term and long term mine planning
- Proficient in mine design, planning, and scheduling
- Proficient in 3D Mine Modeling software (Vulcan, Deswik, MineSight)
- Skilled in managing large and complex projects
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
- Second language in Spanish preferred

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.
