Mineralogist – Rare Earth Elements

About the role

Phoenix Tailings seeks a Mineralogist – Rare Earth Elements to join our team. This role is responsible for analyzing and characterizing rare earth elements from tailings samples.

Responsibilities

• Perform mineralogical analysis on rare earth element samples
• Develop and maintain sample preparation protocols
• Collaborate with other scientists and engineers to interpret results
• Contribute to project documentation and reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mineralogy, Geology, Materials Science, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in mineral analysis
• Experience with XRD, SEM, and other mineral analysis techniques
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Qualifications

• Knowledge of rare earth element properties and behavior
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
