Job Description
The purpose of this role is to have an experienced operator, who can help fill the role as supervisor when needed. Someone who promotes safety, strives to lead people and understands how to make decisions under pressure. A person that can execute mine plans while ensuring all Haile and Company's HSE Policies/ procedures are being followed.
Qualifications
- Previous Leadership experience preferred
- Safety background and knowledge of MHSA regulations
- Must possess the ability to apply common sense or logic to a problem-solving solution
- High school Diploma or GED
- Willing to do what is needed for the success of the mine operations department
- Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and see. Must be able to work shift work with 12-hour shifts. May need to work overtime to make sure that pumping requirements are met. Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday. Work is in a surface mine setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity.
