Description Job Title: I & E Technician Reports To: Surface Electrical Supervisor Location: New Mexico – HB Overview A Surface - Instrumentation & Electrical (I & E) Technician is primarily responsible for installation, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of process instrumentation at surface operations. This position requires attention to detail, a safety-conscience mindset and problem-solving skills to fix issues. Job Duties Execute day-to-day maintenance work orders associated with surface facility operationsInstall, troubleshoot and repair various electrical components and systems, including, but not limited to: drive and control systems, conduit wire, pneumatic and electronic instrumentation, and motorsAssist with maintaining PLC/DCS hardware and install switchesPerform pre-shift inspections and preventative maintenance ensure all equipment and systems are operating safely and efficiently, and report any safety hazards to appropriate personnelExecute analysis, detailed documentation, installations, checkouts, debugging and cost control of assigned projectsPerform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications High school diploma or GEDValid Driver’s LicenseMinimum three (3) years electrical experience required with troubleshooting skillsAssociate’s degree in electronics or instrumentation preferred with a minimum of three (3) years off applicable experienceAbility to reach instructions, blue prints and manualsBasic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft OutlookMust be available to work call-outs as needed for a 24/7 operation OPPORTUNITIES Medical plans with prescription drug coverage, dental insurance and vision insurance401(K) with immediate vesting and generous employer matchWork-life balance with family-friendly work schedulesOpportunity to grow within position through Intrepid’s career path program SCHEDULE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT 9/80 schedule, Monday – Thursday (6 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.), Fridays worked (6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) with every other Friday off. As part of a 24/7 maintenance support team, employees must be available wot work call-outs as needed. Schedule subject to change. Outdoors, in a non-temperature controlled environment, and subject to weather conditionsExposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels Employees are required to wear safety attire and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times Physical Requirements Standing, walking, sitting, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching or graspingMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and push and/or pull up to 50 lbs.Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders, and potentially work at heights, perceive color differencesWill be required to wear personal protective equipment as needed and engage in strenuous physical activity A pre-placement physical and hair follicle drug test will be required for anyone selected for this opportunity.
