Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other technical drawings in industrial settings.
- Perform precise alignments on motors, gearboxes, and rollers.
- Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, and cranes safely and efficiently.
- Maintain and repair conveyor systems.
- Perform mechanical alignments on motors, gearboxes, rollers, and other equipment to ensure proper function.
- Operate and manage mobile equipment including forklifts, aerial lifts, and cranes to transport and position machinery and parts.
- Weld and use cutting torches to fabricate, modify, or repair metal components as needed.
- Use precision instruments to align, measure, and adjust equipment to meet installation or operational requirements.
- Utilize power tools such as saws, drills, and grinders for various tasks in installation and repair processes.
- Employ both standard and metric hand tools, including wrenches, sockets, allenkeys, and taps, to perform mechanical tasks efficiently.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues promptly and accurately, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards, adhering to all safety protocols during installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.
- Cordination of tasks to ensure they are completed within projected job completion date.
Experience, Qualifications and Key Competencies
- 30-hour Construction OSHA required.
- NCCER is preferred but not required.
- 4+ years of experience in a Millwright Supervision role is required.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Millwright is required.
- Experience with heavy equipment installation and/or removal in Autostore or EV battery settings is highly desirable.

- Heavy Equipment Operation: Proficient in operating and overseeing the use of cranes, hoists, and other heavy machinery.
- Welding & Fabrication: Expertise in welding, cutting, and fabricating metal parts when needed for repairs or installations.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and crews while ensuring work progresses according to schedule and budget.
- Safety Compliance & Hazard Identification: Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations, with the ability to enforce them on-site.
- Materials & Resource Coordination: Experienced in managing materials, tools, and equipment for large projects, ensuring timely availability.
- Structural & Mechanical Installation: In-depth knowledge of structural and mechanical installations, including pumps, conveyors, and industrial systems.
- Leadership & Crew Supervision: Proven ability to lead and mentor millwrights, providing guidance and ensuring the team's efficiency.
- Strong Communication Skills: Effective in conveying technical information to team members and coordinating with other departments or contractors.
- Client-Facing Communication: Comfortable interacting with clients, addressing project progress, and resolving concerns when necessary.
- Rigging Expertise: Skilled in rigging practices for moving and installing heavy or oversized machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshooting Advanced Systems: Experience diagnosing issues in complex systems, such as hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated machinery.
