Millwright Foreman (MGR)

We are looking for a Millwright Foreman for a Regular Full-Time, Non-Exempt position at our Mitsubishi site in Greer, SC. This role does not require travel or per diem.

About the Role

The Millwright Foreman leads, directs, plans, and manages site operations with accountability for production, maintenance, quality, and the efficient installation of machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in an industrial environment. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Directs and manages daily operations for production, maintenance, quality, and installation of machinery and equipment.
• Coordinates site activities through planning to ensure manufacturing/production objectives are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Establishes and monitors employee performance for production and quality.
• Maintains, replaces, and adjusts site facilities and equipment as necessary.
• Confers with upper management to establish production/quality standards and develop controls.
• Provides direction, development, and leadership to employees.
• Leads problem resolution to facilitate improvements and exceed customer expectations.
• Implements and ensures compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Monitors team performance using established metrics to align with company goals.
• Communicates, mentors, coaches, trains, and develops employees.
• Resolves employee issues using problem-resolution techniques.
• Installs machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
• Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Ensures all safety procedures and regulations are followed to foster a safety-first culture.
• Plans and conducts meetings with subordinates to ensure compliance and communicate changes.
• Initiates personnel actions, including hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers, and vacation schedules.
• Trains new employees and performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in millwright work, including leading, directing, planning, and managing maintenance or installation projects.
• Proven leadership and teamwork with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to handle objections and negotiate.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office or Windows-based software.
• Demonstrated support of a positive safety culture.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

• More than five years of industry experience.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office or Windows-based software.

Schedule

Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (40 hours per week with occasional overtime as needed).
