Millwright Fabricator - Traveling Central Fab Team - (Athol)

About the role

Join our traveling Central Fab Shop (CFS) team that services the company’s objective in maintaining "state-of-the-art" technology throughout its mills.

Responsibilities

• Comprehend and perform all duties in accordance with rules, regulations, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
• Perform a wide range of tasks including welding, cutting, fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing various types of processing equipment or machines to improve production quality and efficiency.
• Dismantle and reassemble equipment for modifications or upgrades.
• Layout, cut, grind, form, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits.
• Troubleshoot or inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of issues or other problems.
• Operate man lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, and other types of heavy equipment.
• Work comfortably at high elevations out of man lifts or baskets.
• Maintain clean working areas.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Extensive cutting, welding, and fabrication skills.
• Experience operating cranes and/or rigging.
• Knowledge of industrial machinery and processes.
• Excellent natural problem-solving and analytical skills with mechanical aptitude.
• Able to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
• Must be able to work various shifts, days, and overtime as needed.
• High School Diploma or GED (or willingness to quickly obtain one as a condition of employment).
• Valid Driver’s License is highly preferred.
• Ability to pass a hair follicle drug test, a physical, and a background check.

Physical Demands

• Sitting and/or standing for a full shift.
• Reaching with hands and arms, stooping, squatting, bending at the waist, kneeling.
• Walking varying distances, climbing stairs.
• Listening to equipment.

Schedule

Day Shift/Weekends: Friday through Monday.
