Responsibilities

• Ensure the jobsite has an adequate and timely flow of materials and equipment.
• Install, repair, replace, and dismantle machinery and heavy equipment used in industrial settings.
• Align machines and equipment, connect power units, and test units to evaluate their mechanical operation.
• Repair and lubricate machines and equipment.
• Assemble and install equipment, position steel beams, and lay out mounting holes.
• Bolt parts together, level bedplates, and shrink-fit bushings, sleeves, rings, liners, gears, and wheels.
• Dismantle machinery and equipment for shipment to installation sites, often performing installation and maintenance work as part of a team.
• Construct foundations for machines and operate engine lathes to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• No minimum education requirements.
• NCCER certification, TWIC card, and valid state-issued driver’s license required.
• 3-5 years of journeyman-level experience preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
