The Millwright is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and alignment of mechanical equipment and systems at various construction sites. This role involves interpreting blueprints, dismantling and reassembling machinery, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring safe and efficient operation of equipment. The Millwright must be physically capable of handling heavy components and willing to travel between job sites as needed to support project demands. As such the following values guide our behaviors: A Servant's Heart -- Focus on the Needs of Others, Wisdom -- Insightful, Integrity -- Honesty and Trustworthy, Courage -- Decisive and Confident in Others, Humility -- Modest and Respectful, Passion -- Unfailing Dedication Essential Duties And Responsibilities Installation, Repair, & Maintenance: Install, modify, and repair mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery in alignment with project specifications and industry standardsDismantle and reassemble mechanical equipment as needed for repair, relocation, or maintenanceTransport equipment to and from job sites, ensuring safety and minimizing risk of contamination or workplace hazardsConstruct solid foundations and secure mounting for machines on-site Machine Alignment & Calibration Align, level, and calibrate machinery and components to ensure proper functionality, performance, and safetyPerform diagnostic troubleshooting to identify root causes of mechanical issues and implement effective solutions Blueprint & Technical Interpretation Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and repair drawings related to construction equipment and mechanical systemsWork under general supervision to carry out assigned tasks accurately and efficiently Safety/Hazard Recognition & Elimination Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company. Support goal of achieving zero accidents.Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel. Qualifications And Requirements High School Diploma (or equivalent) required4 years of previous, related work experience requiredCurrent Driver's License and have reliable transportation Experience, Skill And Abilities Positive safety attitude and personal integrity -- both are non-negotiableCapable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipmentAbility to operate equipment, lift trucks in a safe mannerPlaces a high value on workmanship, customer service and satisfactionStrong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills, both verbal and written Physical Requirements Employee will lift heavy objects; physically manipulate objects will need strengthEmployee will travel to construction sites (sometimes multiple sites per day) to meet project-based needs MetroPower is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
