Millwork Crew Leader - Swing Shift

Responsibilities

• Perform daily activities for a millwork facility.
• Perform distribution-related functions (receiving, storing, and shipping/building of loads).
• Operate forklift.
• Ensure load matches order prior to vehicle exiting yard.
• Perform customer service activities.
• Have broad knowledge of building material products and warehouse operations.
• Train, assign, and oversee work of others and ensure work is complete and built to order specifications.
• Be alert and adaptable to warehouse routines.
• Understand and apply fundamental mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• May be responsible for raw materials and finished goods inventory, and materials order replenishment.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
• Follow safety programs and ensure compliance of OSHA regulations.
• Help plan the daily workflow.
• Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Basic: High School Diploma, GED, or two (2) years equivalent work experience.
• Must be able to understand and communicate safety and other work-related instructions.
• Physical exertion in a warehouse/yard environment with considerable physical effort.
• Ability to perform duties in all weather conditions.
• Possess an in-depth knowledge of building materials products, warehouse operations, and/or BMD products/operations.
• Possess ability to understand and apply fundamental mathematical calculations.
• Exhibit good personal interaction and supervisory skills.
