Mill Turn Machinist - Weekend Shift

About the role

Avalign produces innovative, high-performance, and cost-effective medical devices. We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Mill Turn Machinist to join our team. The Mill Turn Machinist is responsible for producing high-quality medical instruments and implants using CNC mill turn machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain mill turn machines, finishing equipment, hand tools, and fixtures
• Perform burr removal as needed
• Conduct machine setups, changeovers, and CNC program debugging, including adjustments and tool changes
• Read and interpret blueprints, inspection check sheets, and work instructions accurately
• Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, height stands, comparators, and other precision measurement tools
• Use ERP and machine monitoring systems to manage work orders, track production, and document quality checks electronically
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; advanced technical training preferred
• Minimum 3 years of machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment required; CNC mill turn experience strongly preferred
• Proven ability to set up, troubleshoot, and operate multi-axis CNC equipment

Pay

• Weekend Shift: Friday – Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 15% shift premium
• Work 36 hours, get paid for 40 hours
