Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup and operation of mill equipment
- Load and unload raw materials on production line
- Assist with all material handling, including sorting and stacking of raw materials and finished products
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of machines, tools, and work area
- Inspect materials and finished products for quality
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisor
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a lumber yard or mill is preferred, though other manufacturing or industrial settings may be considered for the right candidate
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods of time, and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Proactive work ethic and ability to be a dependable team player
- Forklift experience and/or certification is a plus
