Full-time position, Monday–Friday, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM. Initial training will be on day shift.
About the role
- Operate and adjust pellet mills and regulate dryer inlet/outlet temperatures per specifications while monitoring bin levels.
- Regulate material mix to achieve optimal pellet moisture and density; keep moisture within specified limits by adjusting fresh/old sawdust and wet/dry shavings ratios.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, spot fires, and hot bearings.
- Maintain pellet mill feed rates and adjust or change pellet mill rolls/dies as needed.
- Complete daily reports detailing temperature readings, dried material moisture, density checks, total mill hours, natural gas hours, and estimated tonnage.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- One to two years of production experience in an industrial setting highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of all aspects of the production process.
- Process Controls experience a plus.
- Ability to pass company forklift certification.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs waist high and stand for up to 12 hours per day.
- Ability to use catwalks and climb ladders up to 60 feet high according to safety standards.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to perform simple math calculations.

Pay
$22–$24/hour.
