About the role

The Milk Tech is responsible for receiving and processing all expressed human milk from mothers of NICU infants. Receives infant formula orders for infants in the NICU. Orders and receives donor human milk from the Saint Lukes Heart of America Mothers Milk Bank. Fortifies human milk based on current orders following standard policies and procedures. Thaws, prepares, assembles labels, packages, and delivers human milk tube feedings and formula to NICU. Monitors cleanliness and temperatures of milk freezers and refrigerators. Cleans and maintains equipment used for daily milk preparation. Cleans and tracks unit breast pumps. Rents and receives rental breast pumps. Provides support to NICU by stocking cleaning or assisting in patient care or clerical help as needed.
