About the role

Perform Military Funeral Honors for fallen veterans. Receive Annual and Sick Leave, and Military Leave if in Missouri National Guard or Reserves.

Job Location

This position is located at 1400 North Fremont Avenue, Springfield, MO 65802.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of Military Funeral Honors Team Leader.
• Provide Military Funeral Honors support over a multi-county area.
• Train subordinate workers, personnel from National Guard units, and Veterans Organizations.
• Make independent decisions on mission procedures.
• Operate and maintain military weapons and their components.
• Maintain various logs and ensure security of sensitive items.
• Work in a public environment requiring professional appearance and performance.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of military structure, capabilities, and procedures.
• Possess and maintain a current Missouri Driver’s License.
• Current or former military service status with an Honorable Discharge.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with professional service providers and the general public.
• Function in a high-stress environment with multiple requirements.
• Establish time management procedures.
• Knowledge of office organization and management principles.
